About

I am a New York based interiors stylist known mainly for my love of the juxtaposition of colors to create startling combinations within spaces, objects and florals. I am lucky enough to work with many renowned Interior Designers, Architects and Editorial publications such as Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and T Magazine, Rafael de Cardenas, Muriel Brandolini, Young Huh, and many others.

Once upon a time though, I grew up between my family’s homes in urban East London and leafy Hertfordshire and being a curious kid, I spent an awful lot of school days and family holidays wandering around England’s stately homes, wishing I lived there and enjoying the seemingly endless quirky combinations of rococo side tables, medieval tapestries and that weird pastel rotary phone that seemingly tied it all together. My upbringing clearly influenced and shaped my vision.

My personal style is informed by all of this and, alongside my equal love for flowers and gardens, led to studies in art, sculpture and textile design and subsequently, interior design.

This site now explores the many outlets for collaborations with friends and fellow creatives in the fields of photography, fabric design, and ceramics. The new works explore form, texture, and surface, drawing inspiration from the handmade qualities of The Omega Workshop, the gardens of England and paintings of Cedric Morris and Howard Hodgkin.

Here you will find images of flowers and stems from my own garden, against hand painted backdrops of my own design and photographed by my friend Patricia Heal. Each are printed on canvas in editions.

I was lucky enough to meet Kay Schuckhart, the ceramicist, in upstate New York, and we have ventured together to create a series of vessels, vases for flowers and a series of candlesticks that are at once familiar in feel, ancient and contemporary. Currently represented in New York City at Dobrinka Salzman Gallery, they are to be used and enjoyed everyday.

The small capsule collection of linen printed fabrics I am developing with Dyenamix in Tribeca NYC, stem from the painterly scraps I made as backdrops for the photography and will eventually become part of a broader collection of pieces for the home.
